Jennifer Miller
Jennifer graduated from Stanford University in December 2005. As a Human Biology Major, she concentrated in International Health. At Stanford, she directed the BeAGoodDoctor organization and volunteered in several local hospitals in order to investigate medicine as a professional option and to develop opportunities for other premedical students to do the same. She also traveled to Nepal to volunteer in a children’s hospital. Jennifer founded the HEAL Internship in September 2005 to connect students to the Pediatric Clinic and community health projects on the island. She also completed research for a Fulbright Scholarship in Roatán, investigating nutrition in the island’s largest barrios. She is now a medical student at Stanford Medical School. Her passions include travel, children, and music.
Natalie Ramos
Natalie Ramos graduated from Stanford University in June 2006 with a BA in Spanish and a Minor in Human Biology. At Stanford, she helped develop the SCOPE Medical Interpreters program at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center to provide Spanish and Vietnamese linguistic services to ER patients. She also tutored Spanish-speaking Stanford janitors, served as a Patient Advocate at a clinic in East Palo Alto, and contributed to a study sponsored by the National Institute of Aging on “Reducing Stress Among Latino and Anglo Dementia Caregivers.” Natalie served as the first student intern in the Winter 2005 quarter. She currently co-directs the internship, provides technical support to Global Healing, and has returned to the RVPC numerous times. She is a medical student at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
